Unto Us...

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

What a challenge to look at the Bible with fresh eyes, with love and joy; free of all that which was formerly believed. To allow to explore ourselves, to examine, to test and see: like a little child, unburdened by fears and assumptions, hearsay and mental grooves.

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10

"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God." 1 Peter 1:21

Nowadays we use different words than in Jesus' time: 'through him you believe in God' ... the 'him' is your awareness, and God is Consciousness (not the erroneous person).

Is this too simplistic? Truth is an activity in our own consciousness, it is not a passive consuming, it is not bestowed on us, but requires some work: a labor of love. The work is to overcome the darkness of our thinking habits, to be vigilant towards mental routine.

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death." 1 John 3:14

Repentance is a change in perspective, liberated from the old commentator.
